Keighley Road Surgery patients can now access routine appointments on evenings, weekends and bank holidays on the following days and times:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
- Saturday and Sundays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

The 15-minute appointments are provided by GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Pharmacists.
Keighley Road Surgery is now open on Monday – Friday evenings 18:30-20:00 for routine appointments as part of the Extended Access Scheme! Please follow the same information below to book appointments here.
By using this service you are consenting for the locality hub to have access to your medical record for the purpose of this appointment. If you do not wish to give this consent unfortunately you will not be able to be seen in these clinics.
How can I book?
Please call the surgery and ask us to make an appointment for you at our late night clinic. You can book these in advance, or on the day subject to availability.
If you need to cancel your appointment on a day when we are closed, please call the surgery on 01422 2475285 and press 0 to leave a cancellation message with your name, date of birth, and appointment details.
If you require an appointment on a weekend or Bank Holiday you will be called by a Hub clinician (not necessarily a Keighley Road Surgery GP or AP). This will be made clear to you upon booking.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
We are open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:30 pm with some early morning appointments (7:00 am to 8:00 am) available throughout the week.
We also offer late evening appointments, Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm.

Telephone Triage
If you have a medically urgent (that is a problem that will not wait until the next day) problem, call us on 01422 247 528 and Select Appointments. We will take your name and telephone number and you will be guaranteed a call back from a clinician the same day. The clinician who calls you back will decide with you whether you need to be seen the same day and will book a convenient time.
Practice Nurses
You can also book routine appointments up to FOUR WEEKS in advance. You may request to see a GP or ANP of your choice, but at busy times and holiday periods it may not be possible. Every clinician who sees you has access to and can update your records and see exactly what care you have received previously.
Please note that only medically urgent cases can be seen on the same day and not always with the clinician of your choice.

Home visits
If you feel you need a home visit, you can help us by calling us and selecting the Home Visit option when prompted before 10:00am where possible.
You may ONLY request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. A senior clinician will review the request and will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide some details of the problem when calling.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with us and have a child under five years.
Text Messaging
All appointments (Excluding Telephone Appointments) will be reminded to you by text message. Please ensure we have your current mobile telephone number.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do clinicians still see patients face to face?
Of course, pre-bookable appointments for routine visits can still be booked but only at the discretion of the clinician, this is to ensure your and our safety during this time. However, we find that most appointments requests can be dealt with over the phone. Some patients simply want advice and this can be given quickly and easily without you having to come to the surgery in person.
I am at work during Surgery times, how can I get an appointment?
You can ask for help using our online consultation system at any time of the day or night, register here and send us your request.
Who calls me back when I am put on the Triage list?
It will be one of our GPs or an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Advanced Practitioners are highly trained and experienced clinicians. They can refer, prescribe and deal with almost all requests from patients. We receive very good feedback from patients who see them.
